Elections were held last month for six seats on HCAF’s Board of Directors for the directors representing Districts II, IV, VI, VIII and X, as well the director representing Associate members.
Four incumbent directors were re-elected to second two-year terms:
- Kathy Burcham, Administrator of Tallahassee Memorial Home Health Care in Tallahassee, was re-elected to represent providers in 14 North Florida counties in District II;
- Debbie Barker, Vice President of Home Health Operations at Welcome Homecare in Jacksonville, was re-elected to represent providers in seven Northeast Florida counties in District IV;
- Glenda Keller, Branch Director at Gentiva Health Services in Tampa, was re-elected to represent providers in five Tampa Bay area counties in District VI; and,
- Mary Ann Knee, Director of Quality Improvement at Specialized Nursing Services in North Miami, was re-elected to represent providers in Broward County (District X).
Outgoing District VIII Director John Ryan of Southwest Florida Home Care recently completed his second (and maximum, according to HCAF bylaws) two-year term after first being elected in 2008. In the election, Paula Reichel, Director of Professional Services at Innovative Senior Care in Fort Myers, ran unopposed and was elected to represent providers serving in eight Southwest Florida counties.
In the Director for Associate Members seat, outgoing director Melinda Gaboury, CEO of Healthcare Provider Solutions, was replaced by Brad Caldwell, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at ContinuLink.
Winners of the election take their seats on the Board of Directors effective June 15.
